Get your peach suits ready, rock fans, because the impossible is officially happening.
Just when we all thought they were done for good, alt-metal icons Faith No More dropped an absolute bombshell on social media, teasing a massive return to the stage. The band posted a cryptic image of a concert crowd with their signature eight-pointed star logo and a simple, single number: 2027.

If you think this is just empty hype, think again. Bassist Bill Gould quickly went on record to confirm that the rumors are 100% true. Speaking on the Rock Talk podcast, Gould laid it out plainly: “Yeah, we’re gonna do it. We’re gonna play.”
According to Gould, the band wanted to hit the road again while they still have the physical stamina to play their legendary high-energy catalog the right way. “Our music is very physical,” Gould noted. “We wrote it as 20-year-olds… We think we can do it for a few more years, and we can do it the right way.”
The Backstory: Why This is a Big Deal
To say this reunion is a shocker is an understatement. Faith No More hasn’t played a live show since August 2016 at the Troubadour in West Hollywood. A planned comeback in 2020 and 2021 was completely derailed… first by the pandemic, and later when enigmatic frontman Mike Patton bravely stepped away to focus on severe mental health struggles.
As recently as last year, members like drummer Mike Bordin and keyboardist Roddy Bottum openly expressed doubts that the band would ever play again. Even Patton himself seemed at peace with the band being a part of history. But Patton’s recent, highly successful live outings (including collaborations with the Avett Brothers) clearly showed he’s got the itch to perform again.
