By now has every metalhead heard the news?! Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are reuniting for one final, epic performance. Mark your calendars for July 5, 2025, because Villa Park in Birmingham (UK) is about to become ground zero for a heavy metal explosion.
This isn’t just any reunion; it’s a historic event. The original lineup – Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – will share the stage for the first time in 20 years. And if that wasn’t enough, Ozzy will also be rocking a solo set before joining his Black Sabbath brothers.
Sharon Osbourne confirmed the news, sharing Ozzy’s excitement and determination to give fans one last unforgettable show. While this will sadly be Ozzy’s final performance, it’s a chance for him to say goodbye to his fans and friends, a proper full stop to an incredible career.
“Back To The Beginning” is more than just a concert; it’s a festival. The lineup is a who’s who of metal royalty, featuring bands inspired by Sabbath’s legendary sound: Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira, Anthrax, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Lamb Of God, and Mastodon.
And hold on tight, because there’s a supergroup in the works! Sharon teased a rotating cast of icons like Billy Corgan, Slash, Fred Durst, Wolfgang Van Halen, and Tom Morello (who’s also the event’s musical director) jamming on Sabbath and Ozzy classics.
This monumental event will benefit Cure Parkinson’s, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice. It’s a chance to witness heavy metal history while supporting worthy causes.
Black Sabbath’s story began in Birmingham, and this final show brings their journey full circle. From their early days at Newtown Community Centre to a farewell show at the NEC Arena in 2017, their impact on music is undeniable. This last hurrah at Villa Park promises to be a powerful and emotional experience for everyone involved. Don’t miss it!
