HIM Deepen Shadows And Brilliant Highlights (Jimmy Franks Recording Company / Universal Records)
The HIM fascination continues. By now, if you don’t have this album or the Razorblade Romance album, you are missing out on some good music. This album starts out with Salt In Our Wounds and this is nothing more than a fun jam song to get the album going on a good pace. Track 2 leads into Heartache Every Moment[ and this is probably the most surreal part of the album and can do a great deal to mess with your head. In ]Joy and Sorrow[ and Close To The Flame are the two beautifully somber tracks on the album. Some minorly annoying low parts of the album are the tracks Please Don’t Let It Go and Don’t Close Your Heart. Love You Like I Do is definitely where the album bounces back with it’s strongest cut, as to give balance to the album, and make the album feel complete. Overall, it’s still worth picking up!
Price Ranges 12-16 US Dollars. Yeah, it’s a good buy! I bought it on import from Hot Topic before released in the US and spent about 30 US, so getting this album domestically for a cheaper price (than what I paid for) is a good bargain!
