Get ready, Z-Rockers! After breaking all attendance records and hosting the largest rock event in Ohio history in 2025, the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival is back to claim its title as the Pinnacle of Rock Festivals in America.

Festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents just dropped the massive, multi-genre lineup for the fifth year of the festival, happening May 14-17, 2026, at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

And this year, it’s bigger than ever, featuring over 140 bands across five stages.

The festival is absolutely stacked, with previously announced titans My Chemical Romance and Bring Me The Horizon now joined by rock legends Tool and Shinedown.

Headlining artists for Sonic Temple 2026 include:
Thursday, May 14: My Chemical Romance, Pierce The Veil, Breaking Benjamin
Friday, May 15: Shinedown, The Offspring, Staind
Saturday, May 16: Bring Me the Horizon, Good Charlotte, Marilyn Manson
Sunday, May 17: Tool, Godsmack, Megadeth

Shinedown’s Brent Smith couldn’t hide his excitement about headlining, stating, “We are going to go all out for this performance. We know the fans have very high expectations. So with that being said, we are going to give all of Ohio everything we’ve got!!!!”

The Lineup is Insane: From Metal Icons to Punk Anniversaries

Seriously, the undercard is just as brutal. With 140+ bands, there’s something for every rock and metal head. The incredible list includes:

  • Halestorm, Lamb of God, Rise Against, Public Enemy, and Motionless in White
  • Coheed and Cambria, BUSH, The Used, Alter Bridge, Black Label Society, and Architects
  • Body Count feat. Ice-T, Behemoth, Flyleaf with Lacey Sturm, Tom Morello, Zakk Sabbath, Anthrax, and Dethklok
  • Simple Plan, Yellowcard, Stone Temple Pilots, Sublime, All Time Low, and Electric Callboy

Special Appearances and Can’t-Miss Sets:

  • Megadeth (on their farewell tour—a must-see!)
  • Flyleaf with Lacey Sturm (celebrating the 20th anniversary of their debut self-titled album)
  • Sepultura (on their final farewell tour)
  • Body Count feat. Ice-T (making their festival debut)
  • Coal Chamber (a rare appearance!)
  • DragonForce (celebrating the 20th anniversary of Inhuman Rampage)
  • Anberlin (an exclusive reunion with original lead singer Stephen Christian)

More Than Music: Art, Wine, and Dive Bars

Sonic Temple is famed for its Art & Music experience, transforming the grounds into a massive gallery with live, large-scale installations.

  • Art Attack: Look for work from contemporary American painter Terry Urban and illustrator Jay Howell (the creative mind behind Bob’s Burgers), alongside a curated roster of local Columbus artists.
  • Caduceus Wine Garden: Take a break and sample selections from Tool’s Maynard James Keenan’s Caduceus Cellars and Merkin Vineyards.
  • The Dive Bar: Back by popular demand, this fan-favorite hangout will feature pop-up performances and surprise appearances.
