Headbanger’s Ball Tour

When Headbangers Ball returned to TV sets earlier this summer, metal fans rejoiced. Now, MTV2 – the show’s new home – is putting a little more icing on the cake and sending three bands out on the road to give some headbanging lessons in person.

Killswitch Engage, Lamb Of God, and Shadows Fall will rotate and co-headline the MTV2 Headbangers Ball tour, which explodes onto stages starting October 28 in Canada. Confirmed dates stretch into the beginning of December and more are expected to be added.

Opening act Unearth will perform for the first leg of the tour, with God Forbid tackling the second part.

With some of the most loyal and diehard followers in all of music, the return of Headbangers Ball once again gives hard rock and metal fans a place that is all their own, Joe Armenia of MTV said.

And with the show’s new home on MTV2, we wanted to take it one step further by bringing some of the best metal bands seen on the show every week such as Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, and Lamb Of God straight to the fans for an unforgettable live concert experience.

The bands are equally pumped about the tour. Howard Jones of Killswitch Engage said, I know us and Shadows Fall are looking forward to playing a full set – not just 20 minutes – for all the kids we saw at Ozzfest. And it’s always fun to watch Lamb Of God play. So be prepared!

Fans can study up on their current metal by catching Headbangers Ball as it airs on MTV2 every Saturday night at 10 p.m. EST, or by picking up the MTV2 Headbangers Ball album when it drops October 7.
