If you aren’t currently nursing a severe bangover, covered in sunburn, and picking Daytona International Speedway infield dust out of your teeth, did you even really do Welcome to Rockville?
The 15th anniversary of Florida’s biggest rock spectacle just wrapped up, pulling in a sea of humanity across four days and five stages. From massive album playthroughs to secret skate-ramp sets, here is everything that went down at the World Center of Rock.
THE HEADLINERS: Decades of Dominance
Thursday: Guns N’ Roses Kick Off the Madness
Axl, Slash, and Duff proved right out of the gate why they are still stadium royalty. GnR delivered a marathon opening-night set packed with pyro, blistering Slash solos, and a crowd sing-along to “Paradise City” that could be heard all the way in Orlando.
Friday: Foo Fighters Bring the Heart
Dave Grohl and company turned Friday night into a massive, cathartic family reunion. Rocking through over two hours of hits, the Foos brought the highest energy of the weekend, keeping 50,000+ fans locked in from the opening chord to the final ring-out of “Everlong.”
Saturday: Bring Me The Horizon Incites Absolute Pandemonium
Marking their only Florida appearance of 2026, BMTH proved they are the definitive face of modern heavy music. Their headlining slot was pure visual and sonic overload, sparking massive mosh pits that swallowed the entire main field.
Sunday: My Chemical Romance Triumphs with The Black Parade
The weekend closed with an absolute masterclass in theatrical rock history. Marking nearly 20 years since the album’s release, MCR played The Black Parade in its entirety. Gerard Way—sporting massive Bowie-esque swagger and camp-maxed energy—led the crowd through a theatrical riot. Hearing 50,000 people scream “I am not afraid to keep on living” during “Famous Last Words” while the stage literally burned behind the band was a core memory moment. They capped it all off with an encore of “I’m Not Okay” and a wildly emotional “Helena.”
THE CHOSEN THREE: Wildest Pop-Up & Guest Spots
Rockville is known for its surprises, but 2026 raised the bar:
- A Day To Remember’s Secret Skate-Set: Before playing their official hometown stadium set on Sunday, ADTR shocked fans on Saturday afternoon by playing a completely unannounced pop-up show at the Kona Big Wave installation. They ripped through early 2007 bangers from For Those Who Have Heart while pro skateboarders did tricks on a vert ramp right behind them.
- Architects + House of Protection: Architects already had the crowd rowdy, but midway through their set, they brought out House of Protection for a live rendition of “Brain Dead.” Earlier in the day, HoP’s Stephen Harrison had literally climbed the stage scaffolding with his guitar, and this collab caused a split-down-the-middle Wall of Death that shook the Speedway.
- From First To Last Reunion: The highly anticipated post-hardcore reunion lived up to the hype, made even better when Kellin Quinn (Sleeping With Sirens) hopped on stage to join them for a blistering performance of “Mirror Soul.”
HEAVY HITTERS: Milestone Sets & Metal Mayhem
Beyond the main stages, the subgenre tents and secondary stages were bringing pure heavy metal theater all weekend.
Ice Nine Kills gave “Hell or High Slaughter” (from the Ready or Not 2 soundtrack) its live debut. In a surprisingly wholesome twist for a bloody good set, frontman Spencer Charnas revealed the track is actually a re-recording of an ’80s glam song by his estranged father’s old band.
Meanwhile, Staind celebrated 25 years of Break The Cycle by heavying up the nostalgia and playing a selective, crushing anniversary set.
If you wanted darker theater, Amon Amarth and Behemoth turned Thursday afternoon into a brutal Viking/death metal landscape, complete with giant prop ships and enough fire to melt the front row. Finally, Sepultura delivered an incredibly emotional, punishing performance as part of one of their final-ever U.S. appearances.
