Megadeth Strikes Lightning in Bogotá
In a move that nearly broke the internet, Dave Mustaine led Megadeth through a crushing cover of Metallica’s “Ride The Lightning” during their tour stop in Colombia on April 26. Mustaine teased fans afterward, fueling rumors that a “Big Four” style reconciliation or joint tour could finally be on the horizon.
Tommy Lee Revs the “Tommyland” Engine
Ahead of Mötley Crüe’s 45th Anniversary Tour this July, Tommy Lee has announced a massive reissue of his 2005 solo project, renamed Tommyland Rides Again. Dropping May 22, the album features updated Dolby Atmos mixes and a brand-new bonus track, “Stupid World,” featuring Chad Tepper.
BMTH Announces “The Third Ascension Program”
Bring Me The Horizon is returning to North America this fall! The newly dubbed “POST HUMAN: NeX GEn – The Third Ascension Program” kicks off September 20 in Vancouver and wraps in Grand Rapids on October 8. They’ll be joined by Motionless in White and The Plot in You. General tickets are on sale now.
William Shatner Recruits Slayer Legend for Metal Album
The Captain is going heavy. William Shatner (95) has officially recruited former Slayer drum legend Dave Lombardo for his upcoming “all-star” heavy metal album. The project also features Rob Halford and John Moyer (Disturbed), proving that Shatner is leaning into the power of the riff for his latest artistic statement.
Accept Celebrates 50 Years with “Teutonic Titans”
German legends Accept are marking half a century with a massive 50-guest collaboration album titled Teutonic Titans 1976–2026, arriving September 4. The record features reimagined classics with a literal “Who’s Who” of metal, including Sebastian Bach, Phil Anselmo, and Tobias Forge.
