Fergie bio

Fergie (real name: Stacy Ferguson) was born on May 27, 1975 in Whittier California. She graduated from Glen A. High School in the city of Hacienda Heights (class of 1993).

Stacy Ferguson began her career in 1983 as the voice of Sally Brown in the children’s cartoon Charlie Brown. At the age of eight she made her first TV appearance on the show Kids Incorporated. After 5 years and more than 100 episodes of Kids Incorporated, Stacy leaves the TV show.

In 1996 at the age of 20 Stacy joins the all-female-band Wild Orchid. The group released two albums in which the highest single in the US was Talk To Me reaching the number 48 position on Billboard’s Hot 100, even though the great reviews towards the music of these three ladies. After completing their third album, the record label declined to release it due to the poor sales of the previous cd’s. Stacy Ferguson left the group shortly after.

After the disappointment with Wild Orchid she told a Glasgow newspaper I started doing Ecstasy. Then I got addicted to crystal methamphetamine. My weight dropped to 90 lbs. I lied to my friends and said I was bulimic Later on she decided to get clean and told everyone what was really wrong with her.

In the year 2003 after recording 5 songs with The Black Eyed Peas, she was formally invited to join the Hip-Hop Group who by then had only sold 800,000 albums worldwide with the release of 2 studio albums, Pretty much they had sold the same amount as Wild Orchid though a little bit less. She was to replace back up singer Kim Hill ho had departed the band in the year 2000. Fergie was taking an enormous chance.

In July 2003 the third studio album from The Black Eyed Peas and first with Stacy Ferguson who was now Fergie was released entitled Elephunk. The first single from this CD was called Where is the Love? which became their first major hit reaching the number eight position on Billboard. From there came much more hits including Shut Up , Hey Mama , and Lets Get it Started which originally was Lets Get Retarder but it was restyled for the NBA Finals worldwide commercials. Later they released a Special Edition CD with this new song. Today Elephunk has sold more than 2.7 million copies in the US and more than 7.2 million worldwide!

Their next album Monkey Business was release on June 7, 2005 along with the singles ’don’t Phunk With My Heart (#3), ’don’t Lie (#6), Bebot (#82), Pump It (#45) and My Humps (#3). This acclaimed CD sold more than 4.4 million in the US and more than 10.1 worldwide although peeking at #2. This became the most sold CD of the year 2005.

In 2005 came Fergie’s biggest ’scandal yet, she urinated on stage. She says she had some drinks before the show and did not think of going to bathroom before stepping on stage. Later on she felt like going, but couldn’t because she was performing. We where jumping around… and my bladder just started.

Ferguson reappeared acting in the year 2006 with her role as Gloria an entertainer at a Ship in the movie Poseidon. This role was minor… she dies at about 40 minutes or less throughtout the movie.

September 29, 2006 was the release date for Fergie’s solo debut album entitled The Dutchess . From here the music chart historical song London Bridge (#1) was the first single, followed by Fergalicious (#1) and Glamorous featuring Ludacris (#1). Right now her 4th single is Big Girls Don’t Cry which has actually hit the #2 position on Billboard. She was also featured on a song with Daddy Yankee called Impacto (remix version) which has reached the number 52 spot.
