Thought I share my first Ryhce show with you all! WOW! What a show. My first ever Ryche show and I was totally impressed. The greatest hits set was very cool, and they played what I thought was an amazing version of Walk In The Shadows ! Then Mindcrime came on, unfortunetly we missed the I Remember Now / Anarchy X / Revolution Calling bit as the line to get a drink was stupid long and just did not friggin move at all! Once we got to our seats toward the end of Revolution I was just amazed at how crisp Tate’s voice was! So album like still! The performances acting out during the show was something different and enjoyable as well. Pamela Moore sounded great during her lead parts. Loking forward to what her roll will be in Mindcrime II. They added a new song/bit in Mindcrime, not sure if there was an actual title to the track but it was about Mary. Seriously, it has to be hard to sing in a straight jacket! LOL The crowd was absolutely into the show and sang as far as I could tell every word to Mindcrime, at least the nose bleed seaters like us! At the end, I thought we were going to get a live performance of the new song Hostage. But we didn’t. Instead, after Eyes Of A Stranger, a video went on, and the played the newly recorded studio version of Hostage ! Very awesome sounding. True Queensryche song there, with Tate’s soaring vocals and vocal changes throughout the notes or words. February 2006 is the target date for this and I think from the sounds of the songs we have heard the past few months ( Hostage & I’m American ), I really do think OM:II will live up to the original.
