Heavy hitters Godsmack and Adema are eyeing the early fall to launch their tour. With Godsmack at the helm, the two metal-inclined bands will play amphitheatres while it’s still warm and then move indoors once the weather turns. They keep together through the start of November when Godsmack split off to join Metallica overseas.
Godsmack have a new disc coming out. The eight-song acoustic album, The Other Side, drops November 18 and finds the band taking a new musical direction.
Lead singer Sully Erna told VH1 it kind of has a Temple Of The Dog vibe, referring to the 90s collaboration between members of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam.
I wanted to do an acoustic record because we’ve never wanted to put a ceiling on ourselves. We always want to have a different vein to pursue and try different things and not limit ourselves to just being a heavy rock band. I think people are really going to be surprised.
