Vince Neil officially announced the 2005 Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament and ZRock Crue for the Cure Rockathon backstage at the Office Depot Center Thursday night prior to the tour opener. The 2005 Malibu Skylar Neil Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Cinco de Mayo - Thursday, May 5th at the beautiful Malibu Country Club in Malibu, CA. ZRock Crue for the Cure's online rock-a-thon will relaunch shortly with incredible thank you prizes from Vince Neil and ZRock.
ZRock Crue for the Cure enables rock fans around the globe to help find a cure for these diseases by participating in online rock-a-thons as well as local market charity events. 100% of all donations will directly benefit the TJ Martell Foundation.
In 1995, Vince Neil lost his four year old daughter Skylar to stomach cancer. (click here to read Skylar's story) The Skylar Neil Memorial Foundation has donated nearly $1 million to various charity organizations for leukemia, cancer and AIDS research. All proceeds from the tournament will be distributed to the TJ Martell Foundation. The TJ Martell Foundation was founded in 1975 by music industry executive Tony Martell and his colleagues in memory of his son, T.J., a victim of leukemia. To date, the Foundation has raised more than $175 million to fund research into innovative cures and treatments of leukemia, cancer and AIDS at nine research facilities throughout the United States. Props to Zrock for keeping us up to date on the Crue tour. Great photos and I truly felt like I was right there in the midst of it all.

The Crue was presented hockey jerseys by the Florida Panthers - they play their home games at Office Depot Center (except, of course, this year, since the NHL season was cancelled). |

I just saw "The Cure" in Tampa, FL on 2/18/05 and they rocked hard. It was great. They are much as a band with Tommy Lee. I saw they a few years ago in Raleigh, NC and the drummer at the time was some chick. She was good, but not body is like Tommy. When I heard you guys were coming to town, I brought the tickets within minutes of them going on sale. I know it sounds like I don't have a life, however that is far from the truth. Hell I have 2 kids, I work for the Space Program, and I go to college. I have a life, I just love you guys. I am glad you are back together. Rock On!!!  [/img]
