ALL HAIL THE DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This folks is hard-core at it's most brutal! The almighty WALLS OF JERICHO from Detroit, Michigan! This is the album that almost didn't happen. The band technically broke for a while after their last album "The Bound And The Gagged" after previous drummer Wes quit. Never fear good hard-core children, the real Motor-City madmen (and madwoman vocalist) are back! =)

This album is a cry against conformity and betrayal that the mainstream media feeds to the American public! In the first track "All Hail The Dead" vocalist Candace Kucsulain screams such cutting lyrics as "Control Is What You Crave / A f*cking Paycheck Is All You Are" and in the song "There's No I In f*ck You" she sings with demonic possession "Sing A Lullaby Scream You To Sleep / I'm f*cking Sick Of It Being Your Way"

Track 6 is re-recorded title track for their first EP "Day And A Thousand Years" which shreds with ten times more intensity than the original. Track 8 "1:43 A.M." is where this album shows it's diversity. This song builds slowly, and then as soon as Candace's vocals, the songs goes into a full shred fest with small splashes of Candace's softer vocal abilities!

On Track 10 "Thanks For The Memories" is where the band led by guitarist (and overall nice guy) Mike Hasty show their rhythmic prowess to mix groove in with mosh-worthy hard-core.

Track 12 "Fixing Broken Hearts" is where the lyrics cut closest to the heart! "I Need To Spare Myself From These Endless Tears / I No Longer Want To Look In The Mirror / I'm Tired Of Being Strong / Do You Ever Feel Your Existence Goes Unnoticed" shows the inner soul of a really sweet girl that seems to have been hurt.

The album ends on Track 13 with a really weird instrumental "To Be Continued..." which is a creepy assurance that their will be another album.

If you want to learn what hard-core is truly about, or want something heavier than the newest Hatebreed or Agnostic Front CD's (nothing wrong with both bands, I love them both dearly) then pick this album up!
