I was very impressed by what Apartment 26 did with their recent release. Since they no longer had a record deal, they were able to mix the cd first, then shop it around. This gave them full creative control.
Music for the Massive is a bit different from their previous release. They still have a touch of the industrial influence to their sound, but also show influnces from SKA to Santana/Vallejo influenced latin, to a bit of hip-hop. Somehow they managed to mix all of this together without giving a vibe of a band that can't find a "sound". In fact they still manage to have a sound somewhat unique to themselves. They also manage to dance the line well between an all out heavy assault to radio friendly.
I highly reccomend this one and hope they can get a bit of the recognition they deserve.
