The tour features Jon Oliva's Pain, Chris Caffery, And Beyond Fear with Ripper Owens on vocals. Also for the old school Savatage fans Jon Oliva won an award back in august. Here is the story to that. Hard Music Awards Lifetime Achievemennt Award

For over 20 years Jon Oliva has contibuted some of metals most incredible and memorable music. Last night, at the First Annual Hard Music awards held in Tampa, Florida, he finally received an award fitting of those contibutions.

Congratulations to Jon Oliva for winning the much deserved Lifetime Achievement Award!
Here is the tour dates so chek out the tour if you get a chance next year they are suppose to do a more west tour. but here's the dates.

They are also doing a special something for the military.

Metal Insurgence Tour gives back to the Military:

The first leg of the MIT featuring Jon Oliva's Pain (led by Savatage mastermind, Jon Oliva),
Beyond Fear (led by Tim "Ripper" Owens-former Judas Priest and current Iced Earth vocalist), and Chris Caffery's Faces (Savatage and Trans Siberian Orchestra guitarist), kicks of in Cleveland on Sept 9 on day 1 of the World Series of Metal.

In an effort to give thanks to the men and woman of the US Military, the first (10) fans to present valid military ID's will gain free entrance to all shows in the US.
Oliva adds, "This small gesture is one way that the bands can express their respect for the tireless sacrifice that these soldiers endure for their family's and the country. Our military are die-hard metal fans, and they deserve whatever we can do for them"

Hurricane Katrina Relief Show Added
Tuesday, September 13 2005

A Hurricane Katrina Relief show has been added to the schedule for this Wednesday evening, September 14th.

The show will take place at:

Rex Theatre
1602 E. Carson St.
Pittsburgh, PA 15203
(412) 381-6811

Tickets will be $10 each and a portion of the proceeds will go to help those who were effected by Hurricane Katrina.

Caffery's Faces will go onstage at 8 pm, followed by Beyond Fear at 9:10 pm and Jon Oliva's Pain at 10:30 pm

Message from Jon Oliva:

" Hey everyone- greetings to you all from beautiful downtown Pittsburgh! Tomorrow night (Wednesday-9/14) The Metal Insurgence Tour- featuring JOP,Chris Caffery's Faces and Ripper's Owens band, Beyond Fear will be taking a day out of our tour to help the hurricane disaster relief victims. Many thanks to the Rex Theatre and KRRC for joining forces with us. We are looking forward to partying in Pittsburgh and performing a night of metal in the steel city...Come on out and help support the people of the gulf coast...See ya there!"
The show is tonight and proceeds will go to aiding the survivors of Hurricane Katrina so please if you are in the area go to the rex tonight and help the victims of Katrina.
