System of a Down are a nice change from try hard Metallica's, Nirvanas, Blink 182's and Green Day's! They bring something to metal that no one has ever brung before. Serj's voice is a relief from the normal whining punk or gravely metal "conventional" voices! who agrees and who dissagrees? you have every right to disagree if you want and if u think that you've found something really original please let my know about it! |

Did anyone catch 'em on SNL this past Sat. night? Aerials was great and B.Y.O.B. was blistering and great to see. SNL caught all the F-bombs on B.Y.O.B. except for one... Ruh Roh! |

Check this story out from www.undercover.com System of a Down Play despite Mother Nature by Paul Cashmere 1 June 2005
System of a Down went ahead with their headline performance at Festimad in Madrid, Spain on Saturday night despite Mother Nature intervening.
Hours before the performance, 60mph winds blew through the area and literally blew the canvas and metal roof right off the outdoor stage.
The promoters managed to remove the roof and take it away safely and decided to cancel the remainder of the show.
However, the crowd had other plans.
Chants from the 30,000 strong crowd bellowed "We want System to play...we want System to play" over and over.
Despite the winds, and the show being somewhat delayed, System of a Down took to the stage at around 3.45am and played through until 5am.
Regardless of what Mother Nature dished up, no-one left. The 30,000 fans stayed until SOAD finished their performance.
**System 1 Wind 0. Just though I'd share!
