I got my hands on a 2 song sampler by Shadows Fall that features the 2 songs "The Power Of I And I" and "What Drive The Weak!" The material is slightly different from the stuff on their last two releases "Of One Blood", which is a straight up thrash metal fest, and "The Art Of Balance" which was really brutal thrash metal coss-mutated with hardcore breakdowns.
These two songs still have elements of those two releases, and the songs are still very much metal and still very much Shadows Fall, but with spashes of a more commercial hardrock vibe.
Don't be quick to cry sellout or write these songs (or the potential of the new album) off with one listen....give the songs a few spins, they will surely grow on you!
Definitely looking forward to the new album when it comes out September 21, 2004 (Same day as the release of "You Fail Me" by Converge on Epitaph Records)!

The full length record is excellent & a must have.
Easily one of my favorite records of 2004.
If you're open to hearing what the future of metal is pick this record out. I got it on the date of release from Tower Records online. It came signed by the entire band , plus I also got a poster of the artwork! Century did one hell of a job marketing this band. Without a doubt one of the most exciting new bands of the last two years!
