One word can be used to exemplify The Rise of Brutality: teamwork.

From Matt Byre’s opening beats on “Tear It Down” to Chris Beattie's final thundering bass lines on “Confide In No One” and all points in between, Hatebreed launch a sonic assault and never look back. Combined with Sean Martin’s explosive riffs and Jamey Jasta’s powerful lyrics, the album is a showcase of brutal force. The team of Jasta, Martin, Beattie, and Byrne execute flawlessly by integrating musicianship with high-energy anthems and breakdowns.

Imagine yourself in a bottle of Tabasco, with dashes of Biohazard, Suicidal Tendencies, Pantera, and possibly Rudolf Schenker of Scorpions, mixed up and passed around a mosh pit for 32 minutes. Welcome to the intense heat of The Rise of Brutality.

Opening with “Tear It Down,” Hatebreed accept no prisoners by confronting and shattering anything that stands in the way. Sean Martin shines, especially on “Straight To Your Face” and “Facing What Consumes You,” while the rhythm section of Chris Beattie and Matt Byre propel “A Lesson Lived is a Lesson Learned.”

“Live For This” rocks with the uplifting chants of Live! Live! Jamey Jasta is a virtual Franklin Covey on the scene, including: If you don’t live for something, you’ll die for nothing (“Live for This”); Never let go of what you strive for (“Another Day Another Vendetta”); Everyday is knowledge to use in life (“A Lesson Lived is A Lesson Learned”); and If I control myself I control my destiny (“This Is Now”).

“Voice of Contention” is another powerful musical highlight, while “Confide in No One” closes the album by demanding Give me something real and Give me something more.

I just check this out on amazon.com. I have never been a huge heavy metal buff, and lately i been trying different avenues than my norms, but this sounded really good! I am going to buy it based on your review and comments here...
