FOZZY frontman Chris Jericho (of WWE wrestling fame) has posted the following update on the band's official web site:
"Well, the year of the FOZZ is kickin into high gear and there's tons of news to tell ya about.
"First off, the shows in Omaha and at the Jersey Metalfest in Irvington were both awesome! Omaha featured the appearance of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bubba Dudley, Randy Orton and Mark Jindrak...the idea of giggin' right after 'Raw' was a great one and you never know who could show up! As a result of that success, we are workin' on doing shows in Chicago, Peoria, Calgary and Edmonton after WWE events.
"The Metalfest was fun and FOZZY stole the show as always! We played with TESTAMENT, RAVEN, PRONG, SYMPHONY X, NASTY SAVAGE and SEVEN WITCHES and we rocked. The setlist was as follows...
01. To Kill A Stranger
02. Eat The Rich
03. Crucify Yourself
04. With The Fire
05. Don't You Wish You Were Me
06. Feel The Burn
07. Freewheel Burning
"The new album is coming along great as the drums, guitars and bass are all almost finished with producer Rick Beato doing a magnificent job. The album is going to be titled 'All That Remains' and should be released in August. It's going to be absolutely the best thing we've ever done....I'm so excited for you to hear the all original FOZZY!!
"It was great having the 'With The Fire' video played three times last week on 'IMX' on Fuse TV and on 'Headbanger's Ball' on both MTV2 and MTV. It gave us more incentive to do another video for the new record when the time is right!
"Last but not least, the [energy drink] YJ Stacker commercials featuring FOZZY have started airing this week on 'Raw' and 'Smackdown'. There are 3 different versions featuring an updated version of 'Don't You Wish' and they're very cool...make sure to check it out and pick up 'WWE Originals' if you don't have the track!"

So glad to see that Z-Rock is still around in some form!!!!
I worked at one of the satellite stations in Florida, back in 1989. Those were the days!!!!! I'll have to get some of my old pics scanned and post them on here |

Hello to all! I just found this site from a link from electricbasement.com. I remember zrock! from Dallas,TX when it was on 94.5,then later 99.1. I also remember 106.9 from Houston-found that one by accident coming back from the GNR/Metallica show at the Astrodome. Still have the dog tags from 99.1 and 106.9. Miss the old zrock on the radio. Anyway, just wanted to tell everyone hello and keep rocking!

Thank you for all who replied to this part on Z Rock, Please, sign up for the e mail list, I am going to totally re organize this list to bring you up to speed on everything in the near future, I am also working with some new band's from New Zealand for SixxDogg Record's, these will be on the very first Xtreme CD, New metal music, new Rock, and vintage rock, the way you loved it then, the way you love it now! |

Wow ZROCK !!!! Man i havent said those words in 10 years probally , I use to listen to this station on WRNO 99.5 In New Orleans daily n nightly and like someone else just posted great to see you guys back in some kind of form .. Man the bands that i got introduced to on Zrock , the Zrock 50 and the Zrock 1000 of all time where i called in and introduded about 10 songs , Backwards Song u guys use to play at 5 pm those were fun ..
Man what great station this was , i must say the best ever , great variety i have satalite radio in my car Siruis and while i love the hair metal station tehere are so many great bands/songs they dont play ... Zrock had the greatest variety and always introducing me to new bands , Steelheart , Southgang , Every Mothers Nightmare, D'Priest to name a few . Welcome back and i look foward to postin on here often ....

Hey guys I'm from Northern Cali and love to rock out. I also enjoy wheelin in my Chevy truck and riding dirt bikes. But I heard about the site on the radio and thought that I would check it out and so far it rocks. |

Question??? When will ZRock get back to the Radio Waves??? Dallas is sucking hot air. Cox Interactive has a kick station in San Antonio www.kissrocks.com you download a little diddy, Streamcast and voila! Dallas has christian rock. I believe in the Lord but give me a break! We have beaucoup Spanish speaking stations as well.  The concert line up in Dallas was very lame this summer.... Deep Ellum is crime ridden.....Dallas a sad town.........etc.  |
