they just recently released a box set and greatest hits dvd. the tracks in the box set have been digitally remastered and includes remixes, demos, live recordings, Japanese and domestic bonus tracks. as for the dvd, it rocks! it's got an x-rated version of girls, girls, girls and three hidden videos of take me to the top, public enemy #1, and shout 97. have any of you gotten either one? what did you think?

Yeah, they have been talking about this box set for awhile now. There was a big stink between Michael Monroe from Hanoi Rocks and Nikki Sixx. Michael had issue with the name of the box set. I can't say I blame him. If you go to the Metal Sludge website, you can see what went down. Michael Monroe even talks a little bit about it in Jarrod's interview with him....

If you are a fan of hard rock music in general, do yourself a favor and go pick up a copy of the box set, and DVD. This is where it all started. Long Live the CRUE!

The box sets don't offer any new music, they do have some great packages. If you want to shell out between $39.00-$59.00 for volumes 1-3 then fine. I think these are aimed at the Hardcore fans. They would make a decent addition to a collection that has no Crue in it.
The Dvd is pretty cool, the best part being the interview with Tommy Lee & Nikki.
The Girls video is by no means XXX rated.
All hype. It is cool to see the Corabi era videos,
a record that I'm a huge fan of...

The new crue album is "meh". I think that they need to fall back on what they know. Their old stuff is SOOOOO much better Twisted Evil
