I just popped in here today and i'm confused on how zrock is coming back. I was working at this other unworthy of having rock in it's name radio station, and i started talking to this guy who was just passing by. We got into how radio sucks, what corporate radio has done, and then i mentioned zrock, and we reminisced for a while. Yeah, those were the good old days. Then he said don't worry zrock is coming back. I couldn't belive it, He told me were to go and here iam.
Unfortunatly ABC has no intentions of bringing back the Z Rock
format, rock music has been fragmented into so many different
formats Active Rock, Classic Rock,CHR,Alternative,Adult Alternative
and so on and corperate radio determines what you here by what
tests well in each age demographic such as Active Rock is 18-34,
Cassic rock is 35-44, unfotunatly corperate radio dont understand
that were all seperate and unique individuals.
Thats why we need internet radio to succseed to have variety and,
so we are not all pigeon holed into the groups that the suits want us
to be in.
